For more than four decades, Mayor Jim Darling, who has served the McAllen community, took part in a farewell party sponsored by the city of McAllen. A large group of distinguished guests from McAllen and the Rio Grande Valley Cities attended this important event.

Mayor Darling was accompanied by his lovely wife, Sandra. She was distinguished by City Manager Roy Rodriguez when he presented a beautiful flower bouquet.
